Bhim Singh began his professional journey as an Educational Content Creator at Engineers Institute India (EII), New Delhi (2013–2015), where he worked on developing and reviewing academic content for core Electronics and Instrumentation subjects. His contributions included creating study materials, formula books, and previous-year problem-solving resources for engineering aspirants.
In 2015, he joined IIT Guwahati as a Junior Research Fellow (2015–2023) in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, working on formal controller synthesis, modelling and simulation of dynamical systems, DC motor control, and inverted pendulum systems. He later continued as a Senior Research Fellow (2018–2023), focusing on finite-state abstraction, temporal logic-based controller design, Model Predictive Control implementation, and advanced automation research.
Alongside research, he also served as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Guwahati (2015–2020), assisting in courses and laboratory instruction for Basic Electronics, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Control Systems, and Instrumentation. Under the Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA) initiative implemented by IIT Guwahati and Learn Hill Pvt. Ltd. (2023–2024), Bhim Singh played a key role in establishing Science & Mathematics Clubs and Tinkering Labs across government schools in Assam.
Through live demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and activity-based learning, he introduced more than 2,000 students and teachers to STEM concepts, Coding, AI/ML, Robotics, and 3D Printing. His work included setting up innovation labs, conducting interactive workshops, and demonstrating real-world engineering applications to encourage curiosity-driven learning and problem-solving skills among school students.
Leadership and Academic Service
Bhim Singh has also demonstrated strong leadership and organizational abilities during his time at IIT Guwahati. As General Secretary of the Students’ Academic Board (SAB) (2018–2019), he represented the academic interests of over 8,000 students and led initiatives promoting peer-assisted learning, academic workshops, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
He additionally served as Overall Coordinator of Research Conclave 2019, one of IIT Guwahati’s flagship academic and innovation events, bringing together researchers, startups, students, and industry leaders to promote research-driven entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems.
